PFR --- Plug Flow Reactor
Anaerobic microorganism treatment is an indispensable treatment section in the current high concentration organic wastewater sewage water treatment process. It is better that aerobic microorganism treatment not only has low energy consumption, but also can produce biogas as a secondary use of energy. The higher the anaerobic reaction volume load is, the higher the oxygen reaction is, and the lower the investment is for treating the same amount of COD anaerobic reaction.
At present, the commonly used anaerobic treatment processes include:
UASB --- Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Bed/Blanket
EGSB --- Expanded Granular Sludge Blanket Reactor
CSTR --- Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor
IC --- Internal Circulation Anaerobic Reactor
ABR --- Anaerobic Baffled Reactor
UBF --- Upflow Sludge Bed Filter
AF --- Anaerobic Biofilter
AFBR --- Anaerobic Fluidized Bed Reactor
USSB --- Upflow Staged Sludge Bed
AAFEB --- Anaerobic Attached microbial Film Expanded Bed
USR --- Upflow solid anaerobic reactor
PFR --- Plug Flow Reactor
Two-phase Anaerobic Reactor
PFR --- Plug Flow Reactor
Plug Flow Reactor, also known as Push Flow Reactor(PFR), is a rectangular incomplete mixed reactor. High concentration suspended solid fermentation raw materials enter from one end and discharge from the other end. It is not necessary to set a pusher, which is suitable for the treatment of high-SS wastewater, especially for the anaerobic digestion of cow dung.
Working Principle of PFR
A reactor for chemical reaction in the form of push-flow flow. The liquid material particles passing through the reactor in the reactor are discharged in the same order as when entering. The arrangement order of particles remains unchanged in the container, and its residence time is equal to the theoretical residence time. The liquid flow pattern is similar to the liquid flow in a long strip tank with a large aspect ratio, which reduces or eliminates the longitudinal dispersion. It is the most common form in the water treatment process (such as the traditional activated sludge push-flow aeration tank used in the biological treatment process of water).
Advantage of PFR
1. No need for mixing, simple pool structure and low energy consumption
2. It is suitable for the treatment of wastewater with high concentration of solid suspended solids, especially for the anaerobic digestion of cow dung, which has good economic benefits for farms
3. Convenient operation, few faults and high stability.
Characteristics of PFR
1. The mixing energy and time in the pipeline are easy to control, the agglutination and agglutination reaction are stable, and can produce uniform flocculent
2. Because there are dissolved bubbles in the pipe section, the bubbles are closely combined with the flocculate and the flocculate
3. Since the dosing point is in the middle of the pipeline, the consumption of water treatment chemicals can be minimized;
4. Reverse mixing will not occur in the pipeline, resulting in short circuit and short circuit.
5. Compared with the traditional tank dosing coagulator, there is no need for mixing agitator, which reduces energy consumption;
6. There are no movable parts, and maintenance is convenient.
PFR (plug flow reactor) or TFR (tubular flow reactor), the push-flow aeration tank and sedimentation tank of activated sludge process in wastewater sewage water treatment are the representatives of such reactors.
